How to add new translations to the core

Hi all,

There exists a relation of available translations in Openbravo ERP. This list is part of core, so it is maintained by Openbravo. This is not a complete and closed list, and can be extended with new languages.

In order to ask for a new language to be included, please report an issue in the bug tracker of Openbravo ERP (http://issues.openbravo.com/) under the project Openbravo ERP, and with the category of F.Localization.

Thanks. Regards.

RE:How to add new translations to the core

Hi David,

There are many language packs in the transltion page http://translations.openbravo.com/erp/trunk/

However, some of them are not in the download page http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Localization_Downloads

Then where can I find them?

Thanks,

Xue-Feng Yang

RE:How to add new translations to the core

Can someone out there help me on the following question?

I compared the translation between current en_US and some other language from earlier version. They look quite different although the table names are the same. How is the current row id defined and what is the difference from the earlier versions?

Thanks,

Xue-Feng Yang

 Hi,

I think you are experiencing the change of DB ids to UUID. Existing rows in database continue to have same ID. New rows, after this project execution, are assigned a unique id.

RE:How to add new translations to the core

I write a small code to explore the translation XML, both old and new. It shows the number of recorded "value" items reduced significantly. Can someone explain this?

Another problem is there are something strange in the translation xml. I give some examples here:

table AD_ELEMENT

row id 1000500004, one is C_Poc_Email_User_ID.

row id 1000500008, one original value is

References will be replaced by values:     * @cus_ref@: The document reference of the customer     * @our_ref@: The reference of the document     * @cus_nam@: The name of the customer     * @sal_nam@: The name of the sales rep.

row id 1002100003, one original value is Isofiscalcode.

My question is: Are there translation rules about those?

Thanks,

Xue-Feng Yang
