How to access remote database

I had installed the OBPOS in two computer, I want to access the database remotely , but when I configure the database in OBPOS , the system can not find the database, My database is postgres, and I want to access database like this: jdbc:postgresql:// do not know why? Can anyone help me?

Hi there.

Have you made sure that postgresql is listening on all connections. in postgresql.conf there will be a line for "listen_addresses = "localhost" "
This may be commented out. Uncomment and change localhost to * this will make Postgre listen on all interfaces.

then you need to make sure it will allow your remote machine to access it. edit pg_hba.conf, scroll to the bottom and add
"host all all 192.168.1.***/32 md5" Where *** is your remote machines IP address.

This should sort out connection issues to postgresql.
