How to open two independent instances of POS

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if it is posible to open two independent instances of Openbravo POS. Each one connected to a different database.

Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it.

RE:How to open two independent instances of POS

 Hello

You can do this having different configuration files. By default the configuration file is located in the home folder and is called "openbravopos.properties". When invoking Openbravo POS you can add to the command that opens Openbravo POS a parameter with the name of another configuration file, for example "openbravopos2.properties" and configure an new database connection here. That is all. This way you can have several POS instances, each one with its configuration file, and for instance, each one with its own database connection.

Best regards

Adrián.

Hi Adrián, thanks a lot for your help.

I found the file "openbravopos.properties" and copied it to "openbravopos2.properties"

Now, where is the command that opens Openbravo POS? I thought it was "start.bat". But there is no parameter calling "openbravopos.propieties"

"configure.bat" does not include this parameter neither

Just in case, I'm using MySQL.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Ok, now it's working perfectly.

I created a batch file that does the copying job.

Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it

RE:How to open two independent instances of POS

 Hello

Maybe I do not explained myself properly. If you already have two files with the openbravo properties "openbravo.properties" and "openbravo2.properties", each one with a different database connection you can start each instance this way:

start.bat openbravo.properties

or

start.bat openbravo2.properties

Best regards
